Marcellink: Keeping the Marist Spirit Alive!!!
Marcellink is a word marcellin and link made into one….
Marcellin, the Founder of the Marist Brothers, was born in France on May 20, 1789. A great man of passion for God and compassion for humanity, said to his Brothers: “Everytime I see children and young people I long to catechize them to make them realize how much Jesus Christ loves them.”
Just a sort of introduction, there are about 4, 500 Marist Brothers in 76 countries (and counting….).
The Marist Brothers arrived in the Philippines in 1948. Since then, their shared lives influenced young boys and girls in schools or in a parish in Mindanao (Cotabato, Kidapawan, Koronadal, Gen. Santos, Jolo and in the parish of Buda) and in Luzon (Marikina and Palawan). If you happen to be one of them, you are welcome here..
This site is meant for all those who wanted to link themselves with the Marists… the Brothers, their charism, spirituality or whatever Marist that you wanted to know about.
This site is also meant for those young men who are interested or who wanted to know about the life of the Brothers. WE NEED BROTHERS!!! If you feel called to become one, materials or links will be made available to you. And finally, this site is also meant to all BMCians/SMCians both the present members and the alumni.
